Facebook users could outnumber Christians before the end of the year

With 2 billion active users a month and growing, Facebook could account for a third of the world's population for this year next year, according to the New York Journal.

On the cover of the issue in the current issue, Max Read Editor explores the impact of Facebook, while the social network is under fire to allow Russian groups to buy thousands of ads in an attempt to influence the election of President 2016 .

"He's an Orwellian ... in the sense that he's a watchdog, and the business model is to monitor, compile his data and create ad categories," Reid said Thursday at Knockbox on NBC.

Last month, Zuckerberg commented on Russian announcements: "We are committed to the advancement of this event, our development in dealing with these threats is increasing and improving rapidly, and we will continue to work with the government to understand the full scope of the Russian intervention ".

In his article, Reed wrote that Facebook users are "the most biologically disorganized group in the world after Christians, and are steadily increasing by 17 percent year after year and could surpass that group by the end of 2017."

According to the latest analysis by the Center for Bio-Demographic Research, Christians remain the largest religious group in the world in 2015 with 2.3 billion followers.

"I use Facebook, I love Facebook, I've been there for 10 years, it's an incredible invention in terms of its ability to keep people in touch," he told CNBC.

"But when there are a lot of people in one place, they get news of her, share news about her, talk to each other, it's very easy to manipulate," he said. He added that Facebook lacks controls and that the government has not yet organized to ensure that "that accuracy, that responsibility is at the heart of power."

This type of concern was also expressed by marketing professor Scott Galway School of Business at New York University in his new book "Four: Hidden DNA for Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google." Galway told NBC on Wednesday that the ease with which Russia could use the credit card "to push the ruble to start the ad and sew the chaos here is probably the turning point."

As Facebook continues to expand, he said he believes co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg does not even know how to get his arms around him. "I think her heart is in the right place, I just think this thing has been so great that not even the most beautiful, not even a saint, can make it work for us."

The Facebook site was not immediately available to process your request for comments.

He said he was talking to people who met Zuckerberg in his 2017 challenge himself to visit all of the USA. which had not yet. It was speculated that this type of tour could be a sign that he might want a political position, perhaps a presidency.

"I think he's pretty sure he has no intention of running for the presidency," he said, emphasizing that the round was about research and development. "I think he wants to meet people who use Facebook to learn how to use it."
